BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Quantum Simulation of Geometry and Topology DESCRIPTION:We present schemes for quantum simulation of geometry. In particular, we discuss how to implement a synthetic background curved space-time, as well as how to construct synthetic boundary conditions, that is, artificial topology. A relevant ingredient in our approach is the possibility to mimic an extra artificial dimension by the careful control of internal degrees of freedom.
