BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Matter-wave interferometry close to the surface of an atom-chip DESCRIPTION:Matter-wave interferometry on atom-chips has been around for a decade. Several groups around the world are now operating such devices based on different methods for splitting such as light, RF, and MW fields. In this talk I will present new methods developed in our group based on static magnetic fields [1,2]. I will describe the details of the techniques and possible applications in fundamental studies and technology. [1] Coherent Stern–Gerlach momentum splitting on an atom chip S. Machluf, Y. Japha, R.
