Capabilities of superconducting circuits for QIP and QSI

I will start with a short introduction into superconducting circuits and discuss some of the basic interactions. I will continue with an overview of state of the art superconducting qubits technology, progress in coherence times, gate operations, measurement capabilities and developments in scaling to larger and more complex systems. At the end of the talk I want to focus on a current proposal we are working on to realize an analogue quantum simulator of spin models using current technology.
