BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Extreme States of Nuclear Matter DESCRIPTION:After a pedagogical introduction to the basics of the strong interaction, we discuss neutron stars: the most compact stellar objects. Various phases of matter can be realized in their interior, in particular we focus on some phases that are superfluid and rigid at the same time. We conclude with a brief analysis of some astrophysical observables linked to the internal structure of neutron stars.
