Senior representatives of the Tyrolean Economic Chamber and the Chambers of Commerce of Bolzano, Trento, Munich and Upper Bavaria recently visited IQOQI Innsbruck to explore the thriving quantum ecosystem of the region.

Among the high-profile guests were Barbara Thaler, President of the Tyrolean Economic Chamber, Andrea De Zordo, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Trento, Michl Ebner, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bolzano and Georg Dettendorfer, Vice-President of the IHK Munich and Upper Bavaria. IQOQI’s Managing Director Gerhard Kirchmair introduced the guests to Innsbruck's quantum landscape, highlighting the University of Innsbruck with its physics institutes and research focus, key startups such as Alpine Quantum Technologies (AQT), ParityQC, and QND, as well as IQOQI Innsbruck itself as a leading research institute. He also traced the history and development of Innsbruck as a quantum hub, and outlined its embedding in the broader regional network — including Munich Quantum Valley, Q@TN, and the Quantum Center Zurich. Kirchmair then presented IQOQI Innsbruck in detail and closed with an outlook under the motto "The second quantum revolution is underway" — paired with a clear message: "We have the science. Now it's time to take it from the lab to the real world."

The visit concluded with a tour of the laboratories, where guests gained firsthand insights into current research activities at the institute.
