[2009-11-20] Johannes Kofler von der Wiener Abteilung des Instituts für Quantenoptik und Quanteninformation erhielt in den letzten Wochen gleich drei Preise für seinen wissenschaftlichen Leistungen.

Johannes Kofler, Junior Scientist at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI), has been awarded the Erwin Wenzl Prize of the Education Center St. Magdalena for his dissertation (written under the supervision of Caslav Brukner at the University of Vienna). The prize ceremony took place on November 11th and was lead by the Governor of Upper Austria.

Johannes Kofler’s dissertation has also been selected for this year’s Loschmidt Prize of the Austrian Chemical Physical Society.

In addition, Johannes Kofler has received the Appreciation Award (“Würdigungspreis”) of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research for his study achievements (“sub auspiciis praesidentis”). The award was presented by the General Secretary of the Ministry on November 17th.
